I've been an editor of controversial art-blog before government-hired right-wing nationalists forced me to leave Ukraine in 2009. My persecutions were triggered by my stand against conservatism for freedom of speech, LGBTQ-rights, cultural diversity and secular society. After my blog was banned by the censors of National Committee for Protection of Public Morals, me and my partner, photographer Natasha Masharova, created – a media-label dedicated to political activism by the means of art. In 2012 we published a series of educational art-books promoting acceptance of LGBTQ+, and became banned in Russia for “propaganda of homosexuality”. Since 2014 we're focused on our visual lab VVHY.
