Goals. Let me know where those pictures are going, so I aim them to serve your goal.
Headshot vs Portrait. Headshots are photos taken from the chest area up. They are all about your face. The portrait session will include headshot + mid and full-body shots.
Payment should be delivered in full before the end of the photo session.
Dress according to yourself. Here are some tips to keep in mind:
Wear only things you love. The more comfortable you feel, the better for the photos. Center yourself around your comfort for the shoot.
While choosing your dress, keep your goals in mind. What are you trying to achieve? Whose eyes do those pictures seek? Don’t fall in assumed expectations though. At the end of the day, the only way to look good is to follow your own sense of yourself.
If you can, avoid overdressing and “for the shoot” look. Casualness adds to an organic feel and brings you closer to a viewer.
Avoid big logos, captions, busy textures, and other visuals on your dress that might distract the viewer from you. Minimal patterns, abstracts, plants, and flowers are ok.
For a portrait/photowalk session, it’s always a good idea to bring a modular look, which is easy to change on the go and get more diverse pictures.
For a photowalk, wear comfortable shoes. Avoid high-heels or flip-flops unless you really have to wear those. Keep your hands as free as possible. No big and heavy bags.
If you’re struggling to decide what to wear, talk to me. We can brainstorm together.
Hair/Make-up. By default, I don’t work with hair/make-up artists unless requested. Their services are not included in my fee. Let me know if you want to get those involved.
Beauty sleep. You should be rested and refreshed. Not only to look 100% but to enjoy the whole process of celebrating your beauty.
Imperfections. Don’t worry about those. They are illusions. And I’ll take care of them.
Getting there on time. Since we shoot outdoors, the result depends on the changing light we need to catch. Coming to the shoot on time helps with that greatly.
Can I bring my friend with me? If that will make you feel more comfortable – sure. I personally prefer one-on-one sessions to not mix the person on a portrait with group dynamics. But at the end of the day, it’s your call. If you decide to bring someone with you, please, make sure they understand that this photoshoot is about you.
Can I see the pictures? I’m not a fan of pre-showing the pictures on the shoot. They are raw and unfinished. Seeing them like that might affect the process. I want to impress you, and therefore I need to pick and develop those photos first before they are ready to be presented and please you as intended.
Control. If you are not satisfied with your picture, I’ll either offer you an alternative or exclude it from the delivery.
Privacy. I reserve my right to use any picture from the shoot in my portfolio and feed unless you ask me not to. If you have any privacy concerns and special requests, let me know.
Revision. For the delivery, I provide one revision based on your input.
Questions. Feel free to ask me any questions you have. Before. At. And after the shoot. There are no such thing as too many questions with me. We have to be clear and on the same page.
